And the moral of the story is: do what you feel passionate about, and know that your soc/anthro degree will help pave the way!

SOAN held a Career Night talk and dinner on April 2nd, with proactive students coming to hear what they can do with their major and to network with each other and some of our alumnae.

Alumnae described their very different career paths, ending up in current position as a first grade teach (Brittany Leight), president of a customer service marketing firm (Sybil Stershic) and a genetics counselor (Julie Moskowitz). Phoebe Baraker, a senior sociology major, shared how her coursework, personal interest in sports and internships have led to job offers in her chosen field of sports marketing, despite not being a marketing student.

Thanks to everyone who took part, and to the the Alumni Office and the Center for Career and Professional Development for their support.
